July 15 - we arrived at Keen Lake (Waymart PA) last night. Today we visited our friends from Long Island who now live in Honesdale PA. Bob was at work until 3 but Michele and the three boys (Nick, Tim and Tom) were awaiting our arrival this morning. How much fun it was to see my old friend and co-workers Michele. We had so much fun reminiscing about our Aetna Lake Success and Melville days! We last saw the family when they came to Orland when the twins (Tim and Tom) were 4. Nick is now 14 and the twins will be 12 this year! Wow how times flies. They all looked awesome and it was especially nice to see the kids. The house and property are like the Ponderosa (hmmm…they even have the three boys like the Cartwright’s). Bob and Michele recently put a pool in so we were lucky it was a great day for swimming, well probably playing would be a better description. Les and the boys practiced their back flips and then Tim and Pat teamed up to challenge Les and Tom to a game of HORSE in the pool basketball area! Not to brag but Tim and I beat the swim trunks off of the other two!
We had a nice lunch and luckily Bob came back from work in time for us to have a nice visit. They are the nicest family! I forgot to ask Michele is her dad was still putting hot sauce on his turkey! I’ll never forget the Thanksgiving we spent with them when he doused his turkey in that stuff - yucky!
I am taking the liberty of posting a few of the pool photos so the boys can see how well they were progressing with their back flips! We couldn't resist posting a photo of one of the family cats. Chevy was no doubt named by Bob who is a Chevy kinda guy! Off to New Hampshire tomorrow to see my sister, husband, niece and her husband their new daughter, Lyla.
